Texas, remember the importance of social distancing. If you must go out, avoid public spaces and keep your distance from others (at least 6 feet). If we continue to follow valuable public health guidance, fewer of our friends & family will be affected by COVID-19. #StayHomeTexas

Common symptoms of #COVID19 are fever, dry cough, & shortness of breath. If you have mild symptoms, call your doctor & #StayHome. If you develop serious symptoms, such as trouble breathing, pressure in the chest, or bluish lips or face, call your doctor & seek care immediately.

Before social distancing, each person with #COVID19 spread the virus to 2.5 more people. At that pace, most would get it, and many more people would die. But we can slow the spread. That’s why we all #StayHome. #ApartTogether we slow coronavirus.

Did you know that washing your hands with soap & water eliminates #Coronavirus molecules preventing the virus from infecting you & others? The same is true when you disinfect surfaces. Science says it works. https://bit.ly/2w7TGAJ #COVID19 #txed #StayWellTexas

Practice Social Distancing
To avoid the spread of COVID-19 in our community, practice social distancing:
• Avoid going out in public
• When in public, keep six feet of distance between you and others
• Follow guidance provided by local and state officials.

Acts of Kindness:
A couple of students and their family wanted to do something for the JISD cafeteria workers and staff delivering meals. After thoughtful conversation with their parents, they decided to have Lauren's Deli cater a lunch for these employees and volunteers on Friday.
We are grateful for our JISD staff, students, parents and local businesses.
Thank you Reid and Macy!!! ❤️❤️❤️

District Attorney Audrey Gossett Louis spoke to Jourdanton Junior High and High Schoolers about the legal and practical consequences of sexting. Our students need to understand and recognize how sexting can negatively impact them not only socially, but legally. Hopefully this discussion will prevent students from making a bad decision.
