*Breaking News* Kaycee Palmer is heading to the UIL STATE Golf Championship tournament ! Kaycee shot a 90 on Wednesday and an 89 today to advance as the 2nd medalist out of region 4 and will compete on May 6th and May 7th at the state meet in Austin. The Girls golf team of Kaycee Palmer Jenna Brown Sydney Shiller Kadi Wilson And Hailey Satterfield came in 5 place overall at the regional tournament. Very proud of the girls and very excited for Kaycee.
This weekend FCCLA students, Sharon Velazques, Reina Garcia, Kiera Wiatrek, Nadia Aguilar, Mia Cook, Ava Saunders, Gabi Mata, Clara Estrada, Isabella Ramos, Shawn Delgado and Joaquin Lopez competed at the state conference. Reina Garcia placed 4th in Repurpose and redesign level 2 for her dog dress project. Clara Estada and Isabella Ramos placed 3rd in Repurpose and Redesign level 1 for their Jeans Bear project. Ava Saunders and Gabryelle Mata placed 2nd and are National Qualifiers for their Feed Bag project. Congratulations to all!!

Jourdanton Boys placed 4th overall at the State Powerlifting Championship Meet in Abilene.
Senior Captain, Donald Parks placed 8th. Junior, Joseph Hernandez placed 3rd.
Stealing the show was Danilo Lugo!
With a squat of 775 lbs, benchpress of 570 lbs, and deadlift of 680lbs Danilo is the State Champion!!!
Danilo Lugo is now the state record-holder for deadlift and with 2,025 lbs he also broke the record for best total. These lifts earned him the award for “Outstanding Deadlifter”, and “Outstanding Total”.
