Student Transfer Information

The student transfer application period for the 2026–2027 school year is now CLOSED.

The deadline to submit transfer applications was May 29, 2026. Applications are no longer being accepted for the current school year.

New Student Transfer Application Process

Jourdanton ISD welcomes families interested in joining our district! The transfer application process begins each May for the upcoming school year.

Application Review & Consideration

All transfer applications are carefully reviewed and evaluated based on the following criteria:

• Grade-Level Capacity: Availability of space within the requested grade level.

• Attendance History: Review of the student's attendance records from their previous district.

• Discipline History: Review of the student's discipline records from their previous district.

Notification & Next Steps

Families will receive a decision letter by mail regarding their transfer application.

If a transfer is approved, the following steps must be completed to finalize the process:

1. Transfer Approval: A decision letter and Transfer Agreement will be mailed to the applicant.

2. Transfer Agreement: The completed and signed agreement must be returned to the district.

3. Student Enrollment: New student enrollment must be completed before the transfer is fully processed.

Families without access to a printer may pick up printed copies at the Jourdanton ISD Central Administration Office.
